Tanzania Kwanza Recognised at National Clean Cooking Forum
Our integrated waste-to-gas model was recognised among Tanzania's most promising clean cooking innovations at this year's national forum in Dodoma.
Tanzania Kwanza Technologies was recognised among the country's most promising clean cooking innovators at the national clean cooking forum held in Dodoma.
The recognition highlighted the company's integrated model, pairing industrial-scale anaerobic digestion with local distribution, as a pathway to affordable clean cooking fuel that does not depend on imports.
Tanzania's national clean cooking strategy targets a dramatic shift away from charcoal and firewood within the decade. Biogas produced from agricultural waste is positioned as one of the key fuels in that transition, particularly for institutions and peri-urban households.
The company presented operating data from its pilot programme and joined a panel on financing distributed gas infrastructure.
