Feedstock Partnership Signed with Regional Dairy Cooperatives
A long-term supply agreement with dairy cooperatives secures organic feedstock for our plants, and creates a new, steady income stream for member farmers.
Tanzania Kwanza Technologies has signed a long-term feedstock partnership with regional dairy cooperatives representing hundreds of smallholder farmers.
Under the agreement, cooperative members supply manure and agricultural residues to Tanzania Kwanza collection points on a scheduled basis, receiving payment per tonne alongside priority access to the biofertilizer produced from their own waste.
"Farmers have always known their waste had value; what was missing was someone organised enough to pay for it," said Grace Mwangosi, our Community Partnerships Manager. "This agreement makes the circular economy a line item in a farmer's ledger."
The partnership model is designed to be replicated with cooperatives in each region where the company operates.
