Biogas Expansion for a Greener Tanzania

Tanzania Kwanza Technologies (TKT) is a Tanzanian clean-energy enterprise dedicated to delivering affordable, sustainable, and reliable biogas and pure gas solutions to households, smallholder farmers, and institutions. The company envisions a future where every Tanzanian household enjoys access to clean energy, free from the health, economic, and environmental burdens of firewood and charcoal.

Through its flagship initiative — Biogas Expansion for a Greener Tanzania — TKT aims to install 5,000 domestic biogas systems across rural and peri-urban regions by 2030, empowering families with renewable energy for cooking and heating, while promoting the productive reuse of organic waste.

The project aligns with Tanzania's National Energy Policy (2015), the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) initiative, and SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy).
